I am a journalist with over 25 years of experience working for print and digital products. I am the deputy editor for the Washington Post’s Well+Being team, which creates science-based service journalism focused on personal health topics. I am passionate about issues related to mental health, and mentoring journalists, especially journalists of color.

A native of India, I immigrated to the United States for my doctoral studies. I have a PhD in political science from Kent State University and master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Mumbai. I speak multiple languages and have diplomas in Indian classical dances.
